Highlights: Younger kids absolutely love the train ride that takes you through part of the farm and by some animals and antique farm equipment. The corn maze is massive and considered one of the best corn mazes in Northern California. The free hay ride out to the farthest pumpkin patches is also fun. There’s also a petting zoo, pig races, Coyote Mountain and Fort ALotaFun play areas, and a gift shop. Opens in late September and runs through October 31st for the fall season. Although the farm is available for field trips and company events at different times during the year.
Food: Food options are quite varied, including lunch and dinner fare in addition to the popular caramel apples and baked goods. Prices are a bit less than you would expect to pay at a typical amusement park. The best value is on the delicacies from the bakery.
Restrooms: Because Bishop’s is a true farm, the only restrooms available are of the “porta potty” variety.
Tips: Plan to visit Monday through Thursday to save yourself the $10 parking fee and then spend that $10 on some delicious goodies from the bakery inside the pumpkin farm. Coupons can usually be found in local publications in late September. Expect long lines at the concessions area if you are eating a regular meal there during the evenings or weekends. To save some money, pack a picnic lunch or dinner instead, there are plenty of picnic tables to choose from.
